69g Total Weight With Skid
Insanely light. The 48g net weight and 69g total weight with skid makes the Grind™ 431 V2 LCG OD Transmission the lightest ever in its class.
Net weight | 48g |
Net weight /w skid | 69g |
Housing height /wo insert hub | 31mm |
Motorplate height | 35mm |
The V1 version already was super light but we aimed to get the most out of the V2. You better believe the result even shocked ourselves.
All-New Hyper Lightened & Hardened Custom Chromoly Gears
The all-new generation of Grind™ ODT gears take it to a whole new level: we lightened their design as much as possible and thanks the pinned mounting they are way narrower than former generation ones.
The Grind™ 431 V2 gears are still super hardened and made of ultra strong and durable chromoly material while the M0.5 modulus teeth ensure ultra smooth running.
31% Sweet Spot Overdrive
We @Team PROCRAWLER® spent tons of wheel hours on the rocks putting our rigs in work and found 31% as the sweet spot when it comes to overdrive rate.
That’s why we designed also the Grind™ 431 V2 LCG OD Transmission around this magical value and implemented 31% overdrive in it.
Carefully Engineered Gear Ratios As Always
Gear ratios must be carefully engineered to properly serve the purpose of use. We have spent months with doing the maths homework and defined the gearing of the Grind™ 431 V2 LCG OD Transmission to perfectly fit the needs of pro scale rock crawling.
Front Transmission Output Ratio | 1.83:1 |
Rear Transmission Output Ratio | 2.50:1 |
2.5mm Toray® Premium High-Grade Graphite Motorplate
When we compiled the product features list of the Grind 431™ V2 LCG OD Transmission it was not a question to use the ultimate Toray® premium high-grade graphite material for the motormount plate.
Toray® premium high-grade graphite, this high-end quality carbon is ultra light but still super strong as we already experienced at our chassis rails, all in all the perfect motorplate material.
Ultra Light High-Tech Nylon Polymer Housing
Crafting the lightest but still powerful LCG OD transmission in its class requires careful engineering when it comes to materials.
That’s why we decided to use the super light and rock solid PA12 high-tech nylon polymer paired with the high-end SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) 3D printing technology for the housing of the Grind 431™ V2 LCG OD Transmission with metal inserts for long lasting threads.
Custom Stainless Steel Shafts
Smooth running depends on several elements of a competition level LCG transmission. One of them are the properly designed and manufactured shafts.
We engineered the perfect custom stainless steel shafts for the Grind 431™ V2 LCG OD Transmission to support its butter smooth running on a long term basis.
High-Performance & Durable Bearings
We have looked into and tested dozens of bearings until we found the perfect ones for the Grind 431™ V2 LCG OD Transmission.
The high-performance and durable oiled Grind 431™ V2 stainless steel bearings run smooth like a breath of fresh air but are resistant to dust and mud.
Dedicated 6º Re-Angled & Straight Skid Options
The Grind™ 431 V2 LCG OD Transmission is a seamless fit for the Flatgekko™ C23 V2R, C1 V1, the Yuuki™ FS1 V1 and the Madstockr SCX10II/Enduro LCG chassis systems for sure but was designed to also fit any chassis rails no matter if having angled or straight skid.
That’s why the Grind™ 431 V2 is available with dedicated 6º re-angled and straight skid options.
Made In Europe
The Grind 431™ V2 LCG OD Transmission is designed in-house by the engineering artists of Team PROCRAWLER® in Hungary/Europe.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an LCG OD transmission?
To understand the essence of an LCG OD transmission for scale rock crawling first we have to define what LCG and OD are.
What is LCG?
The LCG stands for “low center gravity”. This is a build style, a way of thinking in the scale rock crawler scene. The key focus in LCG is on getting the center of gravity as low as possible which makes your rig more capable when it comes to climbing upwards, sidehilling or downwards.
Based on these the optimal LCG transmission is as light and as low as possible. Recent stage the Grind™ 431 V2 LCG OD Transmission is the lightest and lowest LCG transmission in its class with 31mm housing height and 48g net weight.
What is OD?
The OD stands for “overdrive”. Overdrive is a solution to drive one of the axles faster than the other. In scale rock crawling the basic goal is having the proper front overdrive which means that the front wheels are rotating faster than the rear ones.
We at Team PROCRAWLER® spent tons of wheel hours on the rocks putting our Flatgekko™ rigs in work and found 31% as the sweet spot when it comes to overdrive rate.
That’s why we designed the Grind™ 431 V2 LCG OD Transmission around this magical value and implemented 31% overdrive in it.

Why are weight and height so important?
If you want to keep the COG (center of gravity) of your scale crawler rig as low as possible it is critical how much weight you add above the chassis rail lines.
As center positioned transmissions are mounted on the skid of your rig, it is very important to have it as light and as low as possible to minimize the weight above the chassis rails.
Recent stage the Grind™ 431 V2 LCG OD Transmission is the lightest and lowest LCG transmission in its class with 31mm housing height and 48g net weight.

What chassis rails is the Grind™ 431 V2 compatible with?
We designed and engineered the Grind™ 431 V2 LCG OD Transmission to be compatible with all major performance chassis rails available on the market. As it comes with its dedicated skid the only requirement is having the market standard skid mounting hole pattern on your rails.
Of course, the most seamless fit are the geometry of the PROCRAWLER® LCG chassis systems:
- Flatgekko™ C23 V2R LCG Crawler Chassis System
- Flatgekko™ C1 V1 LCG Crawler Chassis System
- Yuuki™ FS1 V1 LCG Crawler Chassis System
- Madstockr™ SCX10II LCG Crawler Budget Stock Upgrade System
- Madstockr™ Enduro LCG Crawler Budget Stock Upgrade System
If high-performance is a key focus for you, these pro level pairing will be a blast for you and your scale rock crawling experience.
